Noon. The heat of the sun tickles the grain-strewn fields through which walks Lady Midday. It is the time of the strongest active energy, a fullness and hotness that can be dangerous. Therefore, at the request of beings and our own bodies, we resort to a short rest to gather strength for the second bright half of the day.
We will discuss the centre of the day, and also the centre of the Self, which in Druidic practice is the cauldron of Coire Ernmae. We may develop it through the way of bards, fetchcraft, shadow work, with themes of Fire and tarot wands, or communication with the darkness.
Traditionally, advanced rituals are forbidden at midday, so let us engage in more relaxing and simple self-care, with atmospheric incense supporting our intentions. The enjoyment of food and drink, such as those described in our recipes and the chapter on herbs, also has an important place.
Hand in hand, we are guided through this time of day by the Mother and Lady Midday, two characters who at first sight may not be related, yet we find several connecting lines that may have intertwined their destinies and imprinted themselves in the archetypes of motherhood and the field.
During our lunch break, we meet Triticum, creator of the Coelbren Cerridwen oracle; and take a fresh look at the basics of pendulum work contacting the higher Self.
We wish all our readers a pleasant summer time filled with a balanced dose of bold magical energy and a peaceful acquisition of knowledge in the shade cast by the midday sun.
